Back in July, Morrissey said he was sexually assaulted by a TSA officer during a security check at the San Francisco International Airport. A spokesperson for the TSA later denied the ex-Smiths leader’s allegations. Now, Gawker has obtained the CCTV footage, which can be viewed at this location.

In his own account, Morrissey claimed the officer “stopped me, crouched before me and groped my penis and testicles.” Later, during an interview with Larry King, Morrissey added, “He went straight for my private bits and then he put his finger down my rear cleavage.”

Morrissey also claimed that, during a confrontation, the officer in question repeatedly said the alleged assault was "just your opinion." While the singer filed a complaint with the airport, he told King he was not hopeful that proper action would be taken.

Following Morrissey’s initial claims, TSA spokesperson Mike England issued this statement to Rolling Stone:

TSA takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and strives to treat every passenger with dignity and respect. Upon review of closed circuit TV footage, TSA determined that the supervised officer followed standard operating procedures in the screening of this individual.

That footage is what can now bee seen at Gawker, however, since the officer largely blocks the encounter, it’s difficult to confirm either allegations.
