Frightened Rabbit Debut Haunting ‘Death Dream’ From New Album ‘Painting of a Panic Attack’

Subscribe to on

Frightened Rabbit have announced Painting of a Panic Attack, their first new album in three years, and shared lead-off track “Death Dream.”

The wispy, forlorn “Death Dream,” which you can hear at the top of the page, proceeds in signature Frightened Rabbit fashion. It opens the forthcoming 12-track album, which was produced by the National’s Aaron Dessner at his Brooklyn studio, and it’s due out April 8 via Canvasback/Atlantic. Painting of a Panic Attack marks the Scottish indie-rockers’ fifth album in all, serving as a follow-up to 2013’s Pedestrian Verse.

The band will embark on a tour with Cavemen come this spring. The run of dates launches on April 21 in Portland and concludes at the end of May with an appearance at Sasquatch! Festival in George, Wash. They’re also slated to play Shaky Knees Music Festival in Atlanta on May 15.
