Grizzly Bear Announce 2012 Album and Tour

The last time Brooklyn, N.Y. quartet Grizzly Bear released an album, it was 2009′s ‘Veckatimest.’ Fans won’t have to wait much longer, as the band announced that they’re releasing their fourth studio album in September 2012.

Details are scarce on the record, but Pitchfork reports that the as-yet-untitled disc will be released on September 18 via Warp. Guitarist Daniel Rossen told Vulture back in March that the new Grizzly Bear album was ”going really well, though we’re not far enough along to have many details to share yet.”

Grizzly Bear announced a few tour dates along with the news of their upcoming album. They will kick off a North American trek on September 16 in Knoxville, Tenn., and cap it off on October 10 in Los Angeles, Calif. After that, the band will head to Europe for the remainder of the year.
