Back in April, Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam and Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell announced they would team up on a collection of covers called, Sing Into My Mouth. Now -- with the album’s arrival just around the corner -- the duo has unveiled the cover song from which the title of their forthcoming collaborative LP is derived: Talking HeadsSpeaking in Tongues cut, “This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody).” Take a listen below (via Consequence of Sound):

Sing Into My Mouth is due out July 17 Beam’s Black Cricket Records and Bridwell’s Brown Records. “This Must Be the Place” joins 11 other tracks, which include covers of John Cale, Spirtualized, Pete Seeger and more. Previously, the two singers have shared their renditions of Sade’s “Bullet Proof Soul” and Unicorn’s “No Way Out of Here,” both of which can be heard here.

According to Beam, his work with Bridwell has been a long time coming. “Ben and I started our careers together and had been threatening to work with one another for years,” the Iron and Wine singer said. “When we finally conceived of the covers project and carved out some time, it was nostalgic and fun from top to bottom -- the process of picking the songs to cover was really reminiscent of more than 15 years ago when we used to mail each other cassettes and CDs of music we were into.”

Beam and Bridwell will take their collaborative album on the road for a brief tour that kicks off on July 20 in Atlanta. Then, they’ll make stops in Charlotte, N.C.; New York City; Newport, R.I.; Detroit; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Philadelphia; and Montreal. Get more details below:
