Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. were two of the bigger names in ’90s alternative rock, so Kim Gordon and J Mascis have come to be good friends over the years. The pair recently got to record together and they just released the collaboration, “Slow Boy.” Listen to it below and download it for free here.

The track is the second released from CONS EP Vol. 3 – part of an EP series spearheaded by Converse that pairs artists together for new, original collaborations. The first track released was a joint track by Hanni El Khatib and Freddie Gibbs, called “Satin Black.” Two more tracks from the EP are scheduled to be released this month, although no information about them is available yet.

Dinosaur Jr. will embark on a tour with Primus this summer, performing across the U.S. in July and August. They will play a couple headlining shows as well, and their complete upcoming dates can be found here. As for Gordon, her current project, Body/Head, released their second album, The Show Is Over, in 2014, and are scheduled to perform at the Sled Island Festival in Calgary, Canada later this month.
