After nearly 17 years, At the Drive In are ready to present new music to the world. You can listen to, and watch the video for, the lead single, “Governed by Contagions,” above.

We don’t have a title or a release date for the album yet, but it will be their first new sounds from them since 2000’s Relationship of Command. The band broke up in 2001, but reunited in 2012 for a tour. They toured again earlier this year, with promises of a new album accompanying the announcement. However, that stretch was met with a few problems. Founding guitarist Jim Ward quit shortly before it began back in March, and the final six shows of the U.S. leg had to be canceled due to problems with Cedric Bixler-Zavala’s voice.

The band announced today that five of those six shows have been rescheduled to take place in March 2017. They will also play the Reading and Leeds Festivals in England in August. Check below for the dates.

As their reunion has been going on, several of At the Drive In’s members have been involved in side projects. Drummer Tony Hajjar’s Gone Is Gone, a collaboration with Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and Mastodon frontman Troy Sanders, released their self-titled debut EP. Meanwhile, guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez joined forced with Buzz Osbourne and Dale Crover of the Melvins and Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes and formed Crystal Fairy, whose debut record is coming out on Feb. 24, 2017. Rodriguez-Lopez and Gender Bender also created a cover of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel You.”
