Ah, the problems that come with the lifestyles of the rich and the famous ...

The Madden Brothers (Joel and Benji of Good Charlotte) have announced they're postponing a string of U.S. tour dates previously set for November.

Meanwhile, the Maddens are set to play five shows in Australia where they're experiencing a career resurgence thanks to Benji's role as a mentor on the Australian version of 'The Voice.' Their album, 'Greetings From California,' and the single, 'We Are Done,' are both No. 1 hits down under.

The postponed shows include:

Nov. 17: House of Blues Sunset Strip -- West Hollywood, Calif.
Nov. 18: The Independent -- San Francisco, Calif.
Nov. 20: Theatre of Living Arts -- Philadelphia, Penn.
Nov. 21: Paradise Rock Club -- Boston, Mass.
Nov. 23: Irving Plaza -- New York, N.Y.

Joel Madden said in an interview he understands why some fans stateside might feel slighted. "We love America, but the tour [postponement] was out of our control,” he said. “It was just six shows, we can do them in a few months. But I get the fans are passionate. Even though it feels to America we’re in Australia a lot we’re in America more than we’re in Australia. I’m an American who’s in Australia a portion of the year [for 'The Voice']. We enjoy being here.”
