Hailing from Riverside, Calif., Naive Thieves released their debut studio album, 'Vámonos,' in April 2014; within the LP's 10 tracks, the alt rockers put their unique and compelling spin on '60s-inspired pop, creating one of the best records to fly under your radar last year. Today (Jan. 21), Diffuser is thrilled to partner with Naive Thieves to premiere their latest music video, 'Sold Short' -- check it out above.

'Sold Short' perfectly captures the essence of Naive Thieves and 'Vámonos.' While creating layers of musical arrangements that no doubt require repeat listens, the core of their music is straight-forward rock and roll.

But it's more than just rock.

"The concept for 'Sold Short' was something that seemed to resonate with a lot of people in our generation -- that overwhelming feeling of regret when we compare our past ideas of where we would be in the future, and where we actually are," frontman Cameron Thorne tells us. "The song isn't meant to just wallow in self-reflection, but inspire motivation to pull yourself up by your boot straps and do the things in life that truly make you happy -- which is often easier said than done."

As for the video, Thorne explains, "It was directed by Storm Santos, and it's meant to mirror the chaotic nature of the song without letting the concept diminish its meaning."

Naive Thieves are still celebrating the release of 'Vámonos'; if you haven't yet, you can pick up the record via iTunes. And make sure to stay up-to-date with everything happening in the band's world at their official website here.
