We love the holidays, but looking at the list of January 2013 new music releases, we're ready to fast-forward through the next few weeks and start sifting through the stacks of fresh platters headed our way. While December is generally a month for box sets and best-of collections, January is a time when labels get back to the business of putting out new records. As the January 2013 new music releases schedule below suggests, there's plenty to look forward to.

On Jan. 8, Boston celtic-punk heroes the Dropkick Murphys return with the delightfully titled 'Signed and Sealed in Blood.' (Here's hoping none of your holiday packages arrive in said condition.) The following week brings several choice offerings, among them 'Lysandre,' the solo debut from former Girls frontman Christopher Owens. Seven days later -- arguably the best day for January 2013 new music releases -- we get classic punk (Bad Religion), killer garage (the Night Marchers), sparkling indie-pop (Ra Ra Riot) trippy, chilled-out funk (Toro y Moi) and more.

Check out the complete schedule of January 2013 new music releases below -- and good luck surviving the holidays.
