New Songs – August 2012

Whether you are cranking some new songs this August 2012 as you slave over a grill in the late summer heat or you're hiding out in the air conditioning listening to them as you watch the Olympics with the sound turned down, the month of August is packed full of fresh tunes to get you through the dog days of summer.

Grizzly Bear are certainly getting people excited for ‘Shields,’ their fourth studio album, due out on Sept. 18 from Warp. The "exceptionally enchanting" tune 'Yet Again' is the latest preview offering from the disc. The Walkmen offer up 'Heartbreaker,' the latest single from their latest album, 'Heaven,' which arrived in May.
