The second annual Orion Music + More festival – the two-day live music extravaganza created by metal legends Metallica – comes to Detroit’s Belle Isle on June 8-9. The initial lineup was released back in February -- announced headliners included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Deftones and Bassnectar -- and now, Rocket From the Crypt and many more have been added to the bill.

Other acts slated to perform include Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, Infectious Grooves, FLAG, Silversun Pickups, Foals, Japandroids, the Joy Formidable, Dillon Francis, Adventure Club, Dead Sara, Borgore, the Bronx, 12th Planet, FIDLAR, the Dirtbombs, the Dillinger Escape Plan, the Orwells, All Shall Perish, Vista Chino, Dirtyphonics, Cauldron, Matt Clarke, Calico, Datsik, Tomahawk, Destroid, Death Grips and, of course, Metallica themselves.

Last year’s edition of the fest took place in Atlantic City, N.J., and brought such bands as Modest Mouse, Best Coast, the Gaslight Anthem, Arctic Monkeys, Gary Clark Jr., A Place to Bury Strangers, Torche and Eric Church.

In addition to a wealth of live music, festival-goers can enjoy delicious food by Detroit restaurateur Phillip Cooley, co-owner of the famous Slows Bar-B-Q. Vans will also be returning with a full vert ramp and pro skating demos.

Tickets are on sale now, and the fest’s official website has all the details.
