Since the release of their debut LP, 'Shrines,' Purity Ring have kept themselves a bit under the radar. That has all changed now, though, as the Canadian dream pop duo is back with a brand-new track.

Depicting a girl who's floating in a pink world, the new song, 'Push Pull,' gives us romance while still being a bit dark. Corin Roddick's beats and synthy melodies flow like hills and valleys while singer Megan James ebbs across the instrumentals with lyrics that pack a punch. Check out the new song above.

"You push and you pull and you tell yourself no / It's like when you lie down the veins grow in slow / You push and you pull / But you'd never know / I crept up in you and I / Wouldn't let go," James sings.

Although there are no set details about a new album, 'Push Pull' clearly (read: hopefully) hints at more material on the way. You can grab your copy of the track on iTunes now.
