Unlike the straightforward documentary approach to their 'Talking Backwards' video, Real Estate enlisted the help of Funny or Die to make an odd but quite entertaining video for their new single, 'Crime.'

The video starts with broke music video director "Tom Scharpling" (really actor Andy Daly), who essentially auctioned off the chance to create the concept of Real Estate's next video. And like so many other things that are crowdsourced these days, the three winning ideas are all over the place, including vampire skateboarders hunting down their lunch and the band playing in a Thai restaurant.

And like most things crowdfunded, the video's "sponsors" get plenty of product placements throughout the clip. Perhaps the most random addition to all this is a cameo by the Westboro Baptist Church, which stood by with signs boycotting and condemning the band to hell.

Video antics out of the way, Real Estate recently added more dates to their tour, which will kick off on May 23 in Manchester, England, and take the band throughout Europe and then parts of the U.S. Visit the band's website for a complete list of show dates.
