Cat Power, Kim Gordon, Yoko Ono and several other artists will teach at a new online school that will instruct young girls how to tap into their creativity.

The School of Doodle is a ‘learning lab dedicated to activating girls’ imaginations through entertainment, education and community.’ The school is free for students and aims to spark girls’ creative juices through watching lessons instructed by some “loud women” in different fields.

Doodle’s Kickstarter page notes that Cat Power will be giving a lesson in songwriting. We assume that Gordon, Sonic Youth‘s former bassist, will most likely teach budding rockers how to play guitar, while Ono will give art lessons.

Other teachers involved in the program include JD Samson (who was a member of Le Tigre), Pussy Riot and ‘Orange Is the New Black’ star Natasha Lyonne.

And while Courtney Love hasn’t been confirmed as a teacher, she is listed as a big supporter of the project.

The School of Doodle has so far raised more than $47,000 of its $75,000 goal. You can Learn more about the Kickstarter campaign and the School of Doodle in the video below:
