St. Vincent has been building a lot of buzz lately -- collaborating with Talking Heads icon David Byrne, singing a Nirvana song with the band's surviving members during its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and releasing one of the year's most talked-about albums.

Last night, Annie Clark brought her art-project brand of indie rock to New York's Ed Sullivan Theater for a 'Live on Letterman' set. The nearly hour-long performance included almost a dozen songs. You can watch in its entirety above.

As usual, Clark sported a funky outfit and quirky hairdo -- this time showing off Princess Leia-style braids instead of the finger-stuck-in-an-electric-socket look she's become known for.

It was a pretty awesome performance, one that rivals her appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' earlier this year. Here's 'Birth in Reverse' from the show's season finale back in May:
