Sturgill Simpson is still riding on the breakthrough success of his sophomore album, last year’s Metamodern Sounds in Country Music. As such, the acclaimed singer-songwriter has extended his Living the Dream tour through November with brand-new dates.

The new set of gigs includes stops in Tuscaloosa, Ala.; Atlanta; Denver; Salt Lake City; Spokane, Wash.; Vancouver; Seattle; Portland; Eugene, Ore.; Oakland, Calif.; and L.A. Simpson will also take up a two-night residency at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Oct. 30 and 31. Tickets for the new shows go on sale this Friday (July 24).

As previously announced, Simpson is also slated to play this year’s Newport Folk Festival on July 25, Chicago’s Lollapalooza on Aug. 1 and Austin City Limits, which will take place on Oct. 2-4 and again the following weekend on Oct. 9-11. For his headlining dates, Simspon will be joined by Old Crow Medicine Show, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson and Jason Isbell. Check out the updated list of stops at the bottom of the page.

Back in May, Simpson was nominated for three Americana Music Association awards, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
