The Las Vegas edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival has revealed its 2013 lineup, and as you might expect, it's pretty EDM-centric. The event, scheduled for June 21 through June 23, will be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If you dig dance music, the lineup, which includes Avicii, Calvin Harris and Skrillex, will have you drooling. However, if you didn’t snatch up tickets already, you're officially SOL, since the event sold out before the lineup was even announced.
Skrillex has won the 2013 Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica Album -- the former for the song 'Bangarang,' the latter for the so-titled EP on which it appears. The EDM kingpin has now gone three for three at this year's ceremony, as he and Nero picked up Best Remixed Recording earlier this evening for 'Promises.'
Skrillex and Nero's remix of 'Promises,' from the latter's 2011 debut album, 'Welcome Reality,' has won the 2013 Grammy for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. The digitally doctored tune beat out remixed versions of songs by M83, Deadmau5 and Moby to win the prize -- the first of the evening for a Diffuser.fm-relevant artist.
Skrillex landed at No. 2 on the Forbes magazine Electronic Cash Kings list of the world’s highest-paid DJs last year by pulling in a reported $15 million, and this year, he's definitely putting in the hard work to stay there -- or even climb a spot. A day after dropping a new video for 'Summit,' his collaboration with on-again, off-again girlfriend Ellie Goulding, Skrillex has unleashed a brand new EP titled 'Leaving.'
