‘Spidey’s Curse’

Black Lips guitarist Cole Alexander said the song ‘Spidey’s Curse’ centers around a comic book he received in his ninth grade sex ed class. The comic book was called ‘Power Pack,’ and it told the story of Peter Parker being molested as a small child.

“It was traumatizing to learn the darkness of society through someone who I had before thought of as invincible,” Alexander said in an interview.

‘Spidey’s Curse’ is the third track off the band’s sixth studio album, ‘Arabia Mountain,’ which was released last year.
