The Breeders Extend Reunion Tour

As announced at the tail end of 2012, the classic lineup of Dayton, Ohio-based ’90s alt-rockers the Breeders will reunite later this year and hit the road to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their watershed 1993 album ‘Last Splash. Now, the band has a string of dates confirmed for the trek. Dubbed the LSXX Anniversary World Tour, it kicks off March 29 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and currently is scheduled through a June 21 appearance at the Camber Sands, U.K., edition of the ATP Festival.
The tour is in support of a new deluxe anniversary edition of ‘Last Splash’ that will be titled ‘LSXX’ and is due to drop in April. The four ‘Last Splash’-era members — singer-guitarist Kim Deal, singer-guitarist Kelley Deal, bassist Josephine Wiggs and drummer Jim Macpherson — reconvened last year to begin rehearsals for the tour, their first dates together since 1994.
