New Orleans country-soul outfit the Deslondes are gearing up to drop their self-titled debut on June 9 via New West Records (see the album art below). Ahead of its arrival, the five-piece roots rockers have announced a string of tour dates, including a handful of appearances at this year’s SXSW.

The band – which features Sam Doores, John James Tourville, Cameron Snyder and former Hurray for the Riff Raff bandmates Riley Downing and Dan Cutler – has already unveiled the lead-off track from the forthcoming debut, “Fought the Blues and Won,” which was released as a 7” and was backed with a cover of Joe Tex’s “Yum Yum.”

The Deslondes will head to SXSW later this month, with appearances scheduled for the New Frontier Touring showcase on March 18, the Heartbreaker Banquet and the New West Records Day Party on March 19 and the Pandora Discovery Den and the New West showcase on March 20. Then, they’ll play their hometown for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in April followed by an appearance at the Banjo-B-Que Festival in Evans, Ga. in May and the Big Barrel Festival in Dover, Del. in June.
