The Gaslight Anthem have release a statement regarding their foreseeable future as a band, claiming they'll be taking an indefinite break following their upcoming European tour this August.

“We'd like to recharge and take a step back until we have something we feel excited about rather than going right back to making a record just for the sake of making the next record,” the band writes in a Facebook post. You can check out their full statement below:

The New Jersey alt-rockers say they will be working on other projects, both music and non-music related. Frontman Brian Fallon has previously released music with a project called the Horrible Crowes, as well as folk-based group Molly and the Zombies, so maybe we'll get to hear more from those outfits in the near future. The Gaslight Anthem's lead guitarist, Alex Rosamilia, is also in a heavy metal project named Servitude, due to release a new EP later this year via Human Blood Records, Rosamilia’s own label.
