The Virigins, ‘Prima Materia’ – New Video

New York rockers the Virgins marked the end of lengthy a hiatus last year with the new tune 'Venus In Chains,' and now, they're back with the video for 'Prima Materia,' the first single from their recently released second album, 'Strike Gently.' The disc, which followed the band's debut by five years, dropped last month and will be backed with a U.S. arena tour in May opening for the Killers.  

'Prima Materia' is an easy, breezy bundle of golden AM rock radio sounds, and the accompanying Warren Fu-directed video, which was shot at gym in Brooklyn, N.Y., stars both the band and one of the top-ranked female boxers in the world, Christina Cruz. It features blurry images of Cruz intermixed with even blurrier images of the band, both filmed while each respective entity does her/their thing (boxing/rocking) in the ring.
