Earlier this summer, the Toadies announced they would release Heretics, a new album featuring restructured versions of some of the band's classic songs, plus two original tracks. That album is due out Sept. 18 via Kirtland Records, and just prior to its release, the alt-rockers will embark on a U.S. tour in support of the forthcoming LP.

The tour launches on Sept. 11 and 12 with the band’s own Dia De Los Toadies festival in their hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. From there, they have five more stops in Texas before venturing across the country. The tour currently has dates scheduled through Nov. 22, but more stops will be added. Check out the complete itinerary below.

Along with the tour announcement, the Toadies debuted “In the Belly of a Whale,” one of Heretic’s brand-new cuts. You can listen to that right now over at Spin.

Drummer Mark Reznicek says the “deconstructed and acoustically re-arranged” versions of the album's existing Toadies songs were in part inspired by the band’s Texas roots.

“Being from Texas, and influenced and inspired by all things Texan, we wanted to go back to the roots of Texas music,” he said in a press release. “The more laid back feel of our music on Heretics suites the vibe of these old wooden-floored dancehalls. It seems like a perfect fit.”
