Watch Weird Al’s Final New Video, ‘Mission Statement’

We’re finally at the end of “Weird Al” Yankovic eight-videos-in-eight-days campaign.

It started a week ago with ‘Tacky’ (a parody of Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’), and then moved on through ‘Word Crimes’ (Robin Thicke‘s ‘Blurred Lines’), ‘Foil’ (Lorde‘s ‘Royals’), ‘Handy’ (Iggy Azaela‘s ‘Fancy’), ‘Sports Song‘ (an original song about how much your favorite team sucks), ‘First World Problems‘ (another original, albeit with a riff borrowed from the Pixies) and ‘Lame Claim to Fame’ (another original).

Yankovic wraps up his promotional blitz in support of ‘Mandatory Fun’ (which is available now at Amazon or iTunes) with ‘Mission Statement,’ which sounds an awful lot like Crosby, Stills and Nash‘s classic ‘Carry On’ merged with their ‘Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.’

Lyrically, the song takes aim at tons of corporate jargon out there, like “leverage,” “synergy” and “brand trajectory.” You can watch the video above, which scrawls out the lyrics (as a couple of other of the new videos have).

In other Yankovic news, he stopped by Diffuser last week and talked with us about his new album. Find out what he said in our exclusive interview:
