Windows 8 2013 Commercial – What’s the Song?

Windows 8 promises to be “all kinds of fun” in the inviting new commercial by Microsoft. The ad features Langhorne Slim & the Law’s catchy tune ‘The Way We Move.’

The song is the title track from the band’s latest studio effort, which dropped last June via Ramseur Records. The album – which Rolling Stone described as “damn near perfect” – is chock full of feelgood tunes, even those whose lyrics hold a hint of melancholy.

“There is a lot of awful and pain in the world, but the sun is also shining,” Slim told MTV Hive when asked about the record. “That’s a theme that I’ve had for a long time in my music. Like they say, you gotta laugh to keep from crying.”

After wrapping up a U.S. tour with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Langhorne Slim and his band are gearing up to hit the road for a series of European shows with the Lumineers. Slim has previously appeared alongside such acts as the Avett Brothers, Cake, Lucero, Violent Femmes and the Old 97s.
