"Some people will assume the obvious, that the music is fun and it's sexual. And it is. But it's also a metaphor for how fast we are advancing as a society. We want everything at a high speed and that is where both thrill and danger reside."

That is how Chicago's Xoe Wise describes her new EP, Racecar Orgasm: Foreplay, set to hit the streets later this month. Today (May 5), Diffuser is beyond ecstatic to give fans a taste of what to expect with Xoe's favorite track from the disc, "Cannibal" -- check it out in the audio player below.

"I wrote 'Cannibal' about our unconscious sexual behavior, as well as the feeling of being prey to others' behavior," Xoe tells us. That theme is strewn throughout the track and is built on top of a musical foundation that blends indie rock with folk sensibilities and electro-pop sounds -- perfectly capturing Xoe's vast talents.

"Cannibal" was produced by Howie Beno -- who has worked with the likes of Ministry and Depeche Mode -- and will be featured on Xoe's Racecar Orgasm: Foreplay EP (cover art below), slated for release on May 12.

Along with the premiere of "Cannibal," we're also thrilled to share the good news that another track from the new EP -- not yet revealed -- will be featured in the fifth episode of Netflix's new series, Sense 8, on June 8.

Xoe is on the road throughout May, June and July; make sure to grab her full tour itinerary -- and stay up-to-date with everything happening in her world -- at her official website.
