First albums definitely set the tone for things to come, and there were several acts that started things off right in 2012 with excellent debuts. Which of the following discs should be named Debut Album of the Year? Help us name the winner as part of the 2012 Diffuser.fm Music Awards.

Lana Del Rey's 'Born to Die,' Imagine Dragons' 'Night Visions' and the Lumineers' self-titled album may have been the highest-profile debut albums of 2012, but they weren't the only standouts. British indie rockers Alt-J snagged the 2012 Mercury Prize for 'An Awesome Wave.' Fellow Brits Django Django dropped their self-titled debut back in January. Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich's Ultraista project issued their first full-length. So did METZ ('METZ'), DIIV ('Oshin'), 2:54 ('2:54'), Pujol ('United States of Being') Teen ('In Limbo') and Zambri ('House of Baasa'), all nominees.

Which disc do you think should be named Debut Album of the Year? Vote below! You have until 11:59PM EST on Jan. 15, 2013, to make your selection. We'll notify you of the winner in this and every other category on Jan. 16.
