The Virgin Mobile Freefest is, of course, free, but tickets are handed out in advance on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans who follow Virgin Mobile Live on Twitter (@virginmlive) will be able to gain access to the private pre-sale, which will be held o  Aug. 23, with Virgin Mobile customers and prior festival ticket buyers getting special notification of the pre-sale in advance. Remaining tickets will go “on free” to the public at Noon ET on Aug. 24 via Ticketfly, but don't wait long to try to snag some -- they reportedly "freed out" in less than five minutes last year.

The Virgin Mobile fest has been happening in Baltimore and other select North American cities since 2006, but it wasn't until 2009 that it became free and has since been held exclusively in the greater Baltimore area. Last year's lineup included the Black Keys, TV on the Radio, Okkervil River, Deadmau5 and many other acts.
