Album Cover Models Then and Now
By now, you’ve probably already read a story on the whereabouts of the ‘Nevermind’ baby, or the porn star gracing the cover of Blink-182’s ‘Enema of the State,’ but there are so many other “Where Are They Now?”-type mysteries left in the world of album sleeves.
From the naked siren cradling the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the front of their ‘Mother’s Milk’ record to the girl peering at you through the lens of a still camera on New Order’s ‘Get Ready’ album cover, Diffuser.fm has done some investigating to see who and where these models are up to today.
New Order, 'Get Ready' (2001)
Model: Nicolette Krebitz
Today: Krebitz has appeared in more than 40 films and has also
hosted television and radio programs. The 41-year-old Berlin native

ist ein dunkler Wald.'

and Thurston Moore is the vocalist for Big Nil, a noisy punk outfit
currently on hiatus while its members attend college.
The Smiths, 'The Smiths' (1984)
Model: Joe Dallesandro
Today: The iconic cover of the first Smiths album is a still image of
actor Joe Dallesandro from Andy Warhol's 1968 film 'Flesh.' The

kept a low profile in both feature films and television dramas.

film 'Welcome to New York.'
Roxy Music, 'For Your Pleasure' (1973)
Model: Amanda Lear
Now: French model Lear was dating Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry

she's still managed to carve out a career as a singer and television
personality throughout Europe for the past few decades.
The Knack, 'My Sharona' single (1979)
Model: Sharona Alperin
Now: Helping to kick off the "skinny tie" pop movement, 'My Sharona'

the song was released, and she's now a hugely successful real estate
agent in Southern California.

character actor with hits such as 'Reservoir Dogs,' 'The Incredible Hulk'
