Band of Skulls have previewed their forthcoming album ‘Himalayan’ with the new single ‘Asleep at the Wheel,' which now has an accompanying video. Shot in black and white in what looks like either a rehearsal or studio space, the video captures the band performing the scuzzy chugging rocker live. Produced by Nick Launay (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), ‘Himalayan’ is due to be released next year on April Fool’s Day. The twelve-track set follows 2011’s ‘Sweet Sour’ and was recorded last summer at State of the Ark studios in the U.K. town of Richmond, just outside of London.

Band of Skulls are fresh off a jaunt opening for Queens of the Stone Age in Europe, and they're expected to announce 2014 U.S. dates shortly. ‘Asleep at the Wheel’ is available on iTunes, and come Dec. 9, ‘Himalayan’ will be available for pre-order via iTunes.
