In September, Ben Folds unveiled So There, a two-part album comprised of chamber pop and his turn at an original piano concerto. Now, Folds and his So There collaborators, the Brooklyn-based chamber ensemble yMusic, have announced a string of North American tour dates behind the album.

Folds and company will kick things off in Oklahoma City on April 13. They have more shows scheduled through May, including stops in Austin; D.C.; Philadelphia; Boston; Montreal; Toronto; Detroit; Chicago; Denver; L.A.; and more. See the itinerary at the bottom of the page. The ticket presale launched today (Dec. 9). You can grab yours at Folds’ website.

So There’s first set of eight songs were recorded with yMusic, a sextet featuring Rob Moose, CJ Camerieri, Gabriel Cabezas, Alex Sopp, Hideaki Aomori and Nadia Sirota. The second half of the album boasts Folds’ “Concerto For Piano and Orchestra,” which he originally debuted live with the Nashville Symphony last year. You can grab Folds’ latest full-length on vinyl, CD or as a digital download right here.
