Best Coast singer Bethany Cosentino unveiled a new clothing line for Urban Outfitters this past Friday (May 11). The clothing line, which debuted shortly before the release of Best Coast’s new album ‘The Only Place,’ can be viewed by clicking the button below and flipping through the pages, and purchased on Urban Outfitters' online store.

In an interview with Pitchfork, Cosentino said that the inspiration for the collection came from growing up in the Valley, Stevie Nicks and '90s pop culture.

“Stevie Nicks has always been my fashion icon, so I wanted to blend her infamous witchy style with the '90s valley girl theme that I was so entranced by as a young girl,” Cosentino said. “I think this collection is like if Stevie Nicks and Cher from 'Clueless' had a baby and they took her to a séance.”

In a video about her clothing line, Cosentino discusses the different experiences of being a musician and a fashion designer.

“For me, making music is really personal. I write a lot about what’s going on in my life. It’s very therapeutic to me,” she says. “I actually think designing clothes is a lot less scary. It’s less like putting all of your emotions and feelings out there and more about putting your taste and aesthetic out there.”
