Best Coast are back with a new album this week, and to celebrate, the band paid a visit to 'The Late Show with David Letterman' last night, where they performed new song 'The Only Place.'

'The Only Place' is also the title of the new disc, which finds the band working with producer Jon Brion in a bid to expand on the Top 40 success of their 2010 debut release, 'Crazy for You.' Although the new album offers a slightly more stripped-down and polished take on the lo-fi pop sound of the band's debut, the new songs still retain Best Coast's trademark, fuzzily nostalgic vibe, as evidenced by their performance of the title track, embedded below.

The 'Letterman' appearance is part of a rather hectic few months for the band, who will spend the immediate future traveling from coast to coast, up into Canada, and across the Atlantic for a series of tour dates that includes sets at the Orion and Isle of Wight music festivals. But all that time on the road hasn't dampened singer Bethany Cosentino's spirits -- she joked about returning to the show in a tweet, telling followers, "My hair got stuck in my lipstick and Dave and I talk about snacks again! #sweet."
