High-profile reunion tours have been been a part of rock 'n' roll ever since bands started breaking up and then getting back back in the '60s, but the indie and alternative scenes turned the comeback trek into a downright science in the '00s. So many beloved but long-dormant bands were reuniting and mounting commercially successful comebacks that it soon seemed an inevitable part in a group's life cycle.
