Bob Mould has been a fixture in the alternative scene since the late '70s, and in his new video for 'The War,' he shows that he's just as vibrant as ever while hinting that he won't be around forever.

In the clip (above) directed by David Markey, Mould and his bandmates are seen traveling from small gig to small gig in a van intercut with kinetic performance footage. Meanwhile, Mould is also depicted sitting alone in a few rooms as writes and contemplates until he hands over a pocket watch -- read: metaphor -- to a disheveled Ryan Adams.

The song comes from Mould's eleventh solo album, 'Beauty & Ruin,' which was released in June via Merge.
