Sleater-Kinney vet and Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein has debuted the trailer for The Realest Real, her upcoming short film featuring Kim Gordon.

Commissioned by the KENZO fashion label, Realest finds Brownstein working with an eclectic cast that includes the Sonic Youth co-founder as well as Laura Harrier, Mahershala Ali, Natasha Lyonne, and Rowan Blanchard. Not many details are known regarding the plot — and you certainly won't get much of a feel for it in the trailer — but according to KENZO, the movie is a "humorous exploration of the fickle and instant world of the internet."

Due to debut Sept. 12 during New York Fashion Week, The Realest Real ties in with KENZO's fall/winter line, and serves as the latest in the label's series of film collaborations — putting Brownstein in the company of directors David Lynch, Gregg Araki, and Sean Baker, all of whom have put together short films for the company.

After a 10-year layoff, Sleater-Kinney returned in 2015 with their eighth studio album, No Cities to Love. The widely acclaimed LP cracked the U.S. Top 20 and was supported by a tour; the band is currently scheduled to return to the stage this fall, with a pair of Riot Fest dates on Sept. 3 (Denver) and Sept. 18 (Chicago). Gordon's most recent release, the memoir Girl in a Band, arrived in Feb. 2015.
