Chris Martin helped celebrate the release of the Angelina Jolie-directed film, 'Unbroken,' on Sunday evening (Dec. 16) with a surprise performance of Coldplay's newest track, 'Miracles.'

Dressed casually for the movie party hosted by Universal, Martin took his place at the piano and performed a three-song set. But before singing, he showed off his humorous side with some witty banter. "Thank you everybody. What a treat. As it happens, I play here every Sunday So ... I'll take requests," he joked as he took his seat.

He also added, "I left a tip jar at the front, and about five dollars average per song. So that would be great. So that we can work on the next 'Unbroken,' 'Unbroken 2.'

Taking place at the Fig & Olive in West Hollywood, Martin performed 'Miracles' followed by a solo version of 'Viva La Vida.' He then ended the set with a special rendition of 'White Christmas' with one of the film's stars, Garrett Hedlund.

'Unbroken' hits theaters on Christmas Day, but you can grab your copy of the soundtrack now.
