Tickets for the first weekend of Coachella 2013 sold out 15 minutes after going on sale yesterday (Jan. 29), the L.A. Times reports. And it's easy to see why: The lineup, announced last week, includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the xx, Postal Service, Blur, Vampire Weekend, Sigur Ros, Modest Mouse and many more.

Many users apparently encountered issues when attempting to purchase tickets for the April 12-14 segment of the festival via Front Gate, resulting in site crashes and prolonged wait times. Such difficulties were summarized, the L.A. Times reports, by a fan in a recent statement: "In cart, payment info entered, submit … and then it times out and I lose the tickets in the cart." However, passes for the second weekend (April 19-21) still appeared to be available.

Front Gate attempted to calm frantic ticket-buyers by stating the following on Facebook: "Oh there are SO many people buying. Hang tight, try again in a minute ... THANKS for all your patience!"

This year’s festival also features appearances by Beach House, Moby, Grizzly Bear, Franz Ferdinand, Social Distortion, Metric, Bat for Lashes, Band of Horses, Hot Chip, Violent Femmes, Stars, the Gaslight Anthem, Tegan and Sara, Johnny Marr and Dinosaur Jr. Click here for additional details.
