Coldplay singer Chris Martin and his actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow plunked down over $10 million for an estate on the west side of Los Angeles. At that price, it's a pretty swank pad.

The couple -- parents to daughter Apple, 8, and son Moses, 6 -- have been splitting their time between Martin's native England and New York City. The duo paid close to the home's $10,450,000 asking price., according to TMZ.

The crib is lavish, to say the least. It was designed by architect Windsor Smith, built in 2011 and boasts six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The grounds are lined with sycamores, which are perfect to provide shade on those stifling Los Angeles days. There is a stable on the property, as well.

There were some pesky rumors of possible trouble in this marriage, but those would seem to be squashed by this real estate purchase. Check out the photos of the spread here.

While Paltrow is an Oscar-winning actress, Martin is no slouch in the earnings department, as he churns out hit after hit with Coldplay, one of the biggest rock bands working today. The band in currently touring in support of last year's 'Mylo Xyloto.'
