Courtney Love Says Kurt Cobain Biopic Will Begin Filming Within a Year
Courtney Love hasn't always been the most credible source in the world, but she tells Inquirer.net that she believes production on an upcoming Kurt Cobain biopic will kick off sometime during the next 12 months.
Love, who is also reportedly working on her own tell-all book, said she's being inundated with demo reels from actors eager to portray her late ex-husband, but that she won't be making any casting decisions. "I won’t name names because I don’t want to jinx it for anyone but these are 25-year-olds who are blonde, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts," she said. "Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces. I don’t want to be the person who makes that decision."
Love said she, her daughter Frances Bean Cobain and Kurt's bandmates in Nirvana will, however, be involved with the film in some capacity. "I do have a say in it," said Love. "So do Frances and Krist (Novoselic) and Dave (Grohl), for that matter, if it touches on Nirvana — and it will."
