Courtney Love Informs Lana Del Rey That ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ Is About Her Vagina
Just a few days after Lana Del Rey turned in a cover of Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ during a concert in Sydney, Australia (check it out here), Courtney Love took to Twitter to point out something to LDR that neither the she nor the rest of the general public reading Love's tweets would really care to hear: that ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ is about Courtney Love’s vagina.
A trio of tweets on the subject started with this note from CL: "You do know the song is about my Vagina right? 'Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back' umm." She quickly followed that up with another post that specifies, "Some of the lyrics about my vagina, I contributed." After that one, Love topped it all off by adding one more tweet with some advice we assume Del Rey is in no rush to follow: "So, umm, next time you sing it, think about my vagina, will you? lol xc."
Lana Del Rey has not returned any comments on her Twitter feed, but to be honest, she’s not very active on the site at all, so we’re not expecting any response from her.
In fact, we think everybody would just be better off if we all just forget this ever happened. We’ll even pretend this story doesn’t exist if you pretend you didn't read it, OK?
