Lana Del Rey treated Australian fans to a cover of Nirvana's 'Heart-Shaped Box' Thursday night during her concert at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney -- or did she? While LDR certainly did sing the 'In Utero' single to a stripped-down accompaniment of electric guitar, what sounds to be some sort of bowed instrument (violin? cello?) and little else, whether it was actually a treat seems to be a matter of personal taste.

Like most things LDR, the fan-shot performance clip (which cuts off mid-verse) has divided the blogosphere between fans who thought she nailed it and skeptics who thought she massacred it. Either way, she definitely put her own sonic stamp on the tune, with throaty vocals that could be interpreted as her best approximation of grunge. What do you think of her 'Heart-Shaped Box' cover?
