Leave it to Courtney Love to lash out at the most revered puppets in the world. The Hole frontwoman is angry that the Muppets covered Nirvana's 1991 iconic anthem 'Smells Like Teen Spirit,' and is not shy to share her displeasure.

The widow of Kurt Cobain told TMZ that Disney and the Muppets have raped the memory of her late husband with their playful rendition of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', which is featured in the 2011 film 'The Muppets.' Love claims that she is the sole decision maker when it comes to the commercial usage of Nirvana songs and that Disney never asked for her permission.

What she has neglected to mention is that she sold half the rights to the Nirvana catalog to a company called Primary Wave Music. The agreement states that the firm has the authority to distribute Nirvana's music and granted permission for 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' to be included in 'The Muppets.'

It's also reported that Primary Wave Music sought the blessings from former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic -- Grohl even makes a cameo in the movie. A portion of the royalties generated are said to go to Love and daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
