Courtney Love Tweets Apology to Frances Bean for Dave Grohl Seduction Accusation
Decades into the future, the mind of Courtney Love will make an excellent case study for future psychologists. The Hole frontwoman keeps surrounding herself in controversy like it's a bad habit. In a classic case of backpedaling, Love has apologized to Frances Bean Cobain via Twitter after accusing former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl of hitting on her daughter. The widow of Kurt Cobain went on another one of her infamous Twitter rants last week, claiming Grohl tried making an inappropriate pass on the 19-year old Frances Bean.
“I hear from Frannie’s roommate that @davegrohl hit on Frances, and that she was curious,” Love tweeted. “I’m not mad at her, him I am about to shoot, dead.”
Both Frances Bean and Grohl have denied the allegations. The former even suggested that Twitter ban her mother from the social networking site. Grohl seemed tired of Love's latest tirade more than anything.
“Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant," the Foo Fighters frontman said in a statement. "These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue.”
It now seems Love has seen the error of her ways. She apologized to her daughter through Twitter, though not offering the same to Grohl. "Bean, sorry I believed the gossip.. Mommy loves you," the tweet read.
In a bit of good news for Love, she reunited with her 'Live Through This'-era Hole bandmates last week at Public Assembly in New York. The performance was part of the after party for 'Hit So Hard,' a documentary chronicling Hole drummer Patty Schemel's battle with drug addiction and life as a rock star.
