Crucial Cut of the Month – May 2013

Every day, just as sure as the sun rises, Diffuser.fm gives away a free MP3. Today, it might be an angsty punk tune, and if that's not your thing, fear not -- tomorrow promises an earnest folk-jam or indie-rap banger. Or something entirely different. You never know what you’re in for, and now, we’re asking you to tell us what you like best and vote in our Crucial Cut of the Month competition. The contest allows you, the listener, to pick your favorite free MP3 from the last month and help your favorite emerging acts gain some exposure.

Here's an overview of how it works: On the first of every month, we post a poll like the one below. Listed here is every song we gave away during May 2013. You have all of June to cast your ballots, and on July 1 — when we roll out the next poll — we’ll announce the top vote-getter. What do they get? We can't offer record deals or concert tours or chances to hobnob with models or anything, but Diffuser.fm will profile each Crucial Cut winner with a Q&A feature, and throughout the month, we’ll promote their music on our homepage and via social networks.
