Culture Club were supposed to kick off their reunion tour on Saturday (Nov. 15). However, Boy George's recent health issues have forced the band to cancel both their North American and U.K. tours.

According to a statement, a polyp was found in the frontman's throat and he needs to have it removed immediately. And with the surgery and recovery time, the band had no choice but to cancel their November and December dates. This would have been the band's first tour in over a decade.

“We are hoping we can reschedule the concerts for next year, and hopefully George’s problem will be resolved,” Culture Club said in a statement.

Aside from apologizing, they were also very grateful to their supporters and added, “To our fans, we wish to thank you for your loyalty and know that we love you all.”

Ticket holders will be refunded, but you can pre-order a copy of their new album, 'Tribes' here.
