Tragedy struck close to this year's V Festival on Sunday (Aug. 19), when a 39-year-old man was found dead in the backyard of a house not far from the festival's location in Hylands Park in Chelmsford, England, where he was attending a private party. It is reported to have been a murder, and 10 men have been arrested.

The preliminary postmortem investigation revealed that the victim suffered fatal head injuries leading to his ultimate death. The arrested suspects, whose ages range from 23 to 35, are still in police custody. Officials are searching for more details on the case and have encouraged those with any information to contact Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

The man's death is the second reported fatality to have occurred at this year's festival. A young man named Timothy Brockhurst was also pronounced dead on Aug. 19 at the festival’s Staffordshire location in Weston Park, where his body was found in a tent. No evidence of foul play has been linked to Brockhurst’s death.

The 2012 edition of the annual British music festival sponsored by Virgin Media featured acts including Ed Sheeran, the Killers, the Stone Roses, Keane, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and many more.
