Frank Turner Exclusive Tour Photos: U.K. Folk-Punk Hero Details Life on the Road
Diffuser.fm recently placed Frank Turner on a list of 5 British Acts That Really Wanna Be American, but that's no knock. Plenty of U.K. artists have looked stateside for inspiration, and today, we've got some exclusive tour photos of the folk-punk mainstay.
Scroll down to see the pics, and be sure to check out the captions, written by Turner himself. As Turner shows, life on the road isn't all fun and excitement. It involves a lot of sweat and karaoke, and before Frank and his band, the Sleeping Souls, tackle North America this fall, continuing their promo push for 'Tape Deck Heart,' they'd better hydrate and bone up on their Bruce.

After Newport Folk Festival, we found a karaoke bar. It didn't end well. Cahir and I were murdering 'Born to Run' when this photo was taken.
The show in Portland, Maine was great, but it was also one of the hottest gigs I've ever played, really hard to make it to the end of the set. This is me and the Souls immediately after we came off at the end."
Every night, we have to clean out my microphones after the show because I spit and sweat into them so hard. This is Nige (the trooper) drying them out on the bus with a hair dryer.
