Canadian post-rock collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor have announced an Oct. 16 U.S. release date for 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!,' their first album since 'Yanqui U.X.O.' dropped in 2002 and their fourth full-length overall. The new disc was reportedly sold in advance during the band's Monday's (Oct. 1) tour stop in Boston, and most of it has already leaked online and is streaming below.

Both the LP and CD version of 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!' were made available for pre-order via Godspeed's label, Constellation Records, upon announcement of the release, but advance sales of the LP have since been suspended due to overwhelming demand. "In the past 14 hours we have received as many LP orders as we can fulfill and mail out from our Montreal HQ such that they still arrive to customers by the official release date 2 weeks from now," reads a post from the label. "The band is humbled and so are we. Huge thanks to everyone who cares so passionately about the group."

GY!BE reunited for a handful of dates in 2010, embarked on a full-scale tour last year and again are on the road in 2012. Their North American tour is scheduled through an Oct. 15 gig in Buffalo, N.Y., and treks across Europe and Australia will follow later this year and in early 2013.
