Hinds Announce Debut LP ‘Leave Me Alone,’ Share Album Opener ‘Garden’

Madrid-based garage-rockers Hinds have announced they will drop their debut album, Leave Me Alone, at the beginning of the year.

Following a Burger Records split 7” with the Parrots earlier this year (for which Hinds covered the Headcoats), the foursome -- comprised of singer-guitarists Charlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote, bassist Ade Martin and drummer Amber Grimbergen -- will release their inaugural full-length on Jan. 8 via Mom + Pop/Lucky Number. For Hinds, “Garden” marks a considerable departure in sound from their previous material.

“It’s funny ‘cause we thought this album would be all party and cheerfulness, but SURPRISE it’s not!!!!! Feelings are more balanced, like in life,” the band writes in a statement to their Facebook. “So suddenly we had a more sober -- or even sad -- album than we expected.”

The 12-track Leave Me Alone also features the previously released “Chili Town,” which is more representative of the band’s sunnier tunes. Check out the complete track list and album artwork at the bottom of the page. Pre-orders can be made at iTunes and the Mom + Pop website.

Hinds launched a North American tour yesterday, and it continues tonight (Sept. 30) in Denver. Then, they have dates scheduled throughout next month, culminating with a show in Allston, Mass., on Oct. 28. A complete itinerary can be found below.
